Arts and History Grants:

  • 2024: Milltown Historical Society: $3,000.
  • Open Space/Farmland Preservation Grants:
    • 2016: $103,850 to help the Borough of Milltown renovate a vacant log cabin for the Borough’s Environmental Commission programming. The project included rehabilitating adjacent buildings and surrounding property to display a taxidermist’s collection, to be used for environmental education programs and nature tours, in conjunction with the Milltown Environmental Commission.
  • Recreation Grants:
    • 2006: $78,612.05 for ADA Playground at Borough Park.
    • 2004: $195,000 for Mill Pond Park.
    • 2003: $290,250 for Borough Park.
    • 2002: $150,000 for Borough Park, Albert Avenue Park, and Michelin Field.
    • 2001: $500,000 for Mill Pond Park (Municipal Facilities Development Grant).
  • County Parks and Recreation Improvements:
    • 2021: Gloria Bradford Park recreational improvements ($125,000).
  • Roads/Infrastructure Improvements:
    • Milltown Forced Main: In 2019, a project was underway to replace the existing forced main at the Church Street Pump Station. The new main will connect Milltown directly to the MCUA as part of a regional wastewater strategy (Design complete, $3 million; estimated total construction cost $22,000,000).
    • Road, Bridge, and Culvert Projects:
      • 2017: Ryders Lane in East Brunswick/Milltown (County Road 617).
    • Signal Projects:
      • 2021: South Main Street & East Mill Road / Ryders Lane & Ryders Crossing.
    • Milling and Repaving Projects:
      • 2024: Milltown Road from Ryders Lane to Turnpike Bridge.
      • 2023: Ryders Lane Ramp from Ramp to Washington Avenue.
      • 2023: Washington Ave from Ryders Ramp to Wilson.
      • 2023: Milltown Road/Main Street from Rt. 1 to Garver Street .
